Uprising 2; I knew they were talking about it but…

I knew they were thinking about it, but that was all sudden!

Having been last year, I can say for those looking for there first 24hr game, its more milsim lite. The whole plot/story/RPG thing got lost in a 24hr non stop fire fight. I would recommend this if only to do the night shift, Senny at night is awesome.

Im personally thinking about the civilian side as they had the most fun last year and Mancs dressed up as hics and that’s something I want to do/steal shamelessly myself.

How about an F&O group going down? If you’re looking to go, you need to decide quickly, places for this will likely be gone by end of April, if not well before.

Booking opens about 10 days from this post.

Not for me matey, I only do Stirling events these days or those organised by us.

I found most of these events just a huge open day - which sucks

Well, as I said its a good starter to the milsim ways, which was why I called it a milsim lite.

And to be honest the whole RPG/story thing did just fall to the way side under a 24hr long fire fight, but it was a rather good 24hr firefight :D

I saw this and read the ex-debrief from last year and sounded pretty neat.

So I take it, its more just a 24hr long skirmish with very weak objectives?

Heyup Guys,

With these events you get out what you put in. http://hollowrock.the-uprising.org/index.php/endex for the debrief of the last game last year.

As to being a "long open day" that's not what we (Bamako) do we do a 24hr Milsim (ish) there are no breaks in play as such but your team commander should schedule you in for some downtime. It is impossible for someone to play for 24 hours straight effectively.

If you stick with your section and keep in contact with command then you will get loads of objectives tied into the story. There were I accept a couple of issues with the game but overall we received positive feedback. I think we have these ironed out as the command teams are now in place and already involved in the planning.

We have in place for this event

Mortar Teams - High value targets as the capturing team gets their rounds
Air Support - Limited strategic air is there to be used as your commander sees fit
Props - Oooh were building more and more as we go along.
Teams - FEMA (Green DPM) and Civilians (Casual) this stops the whole Teflon issue which often crops up when it ends up Green vs Dessie.
The Yellow Box of Doom --- Kaboom :)
Gold, Crates, Silos, Comms Kit to Acquire, CCTV Rooms (which work) etc etc all the usuals
And much much more keep an eye on the threads as we complete props.

This is NOT a hardcore milsim weekend. It IS a MilSimIsh weekend where emphasis is put on the gameplay and roles of characters hence we encourage people to dress the part.

Read the feedback at http://hollowrock.the-uprising.org/index.php/feedback

Then make your choice and book in at http://www.the-uprising.org :) (Yeah I know this is a shameless plug but its all for charity) A full 24 hours of Airsoft Action for just £65 !!

Cheers
Dave
