Just saw this posting on Arnies airsoft...

2027AD. Following the uncontained nuclear exchange in the Middle East in 2012 now known as The Reckoning, society worldwide has broken down. There are no countries, there are no nations, there are only Clans. There is no priority but survival and prowess at arms is the most highly prized quality. Despite the devastation the Clans have maintained some skills from before The Reckoning, chief amongst these are the skills of the doctor. Constant fighting between Clans and a stagnant birth rate due to contamination have made the ability to keep Clan members alive a vital pursuit. This necessity has pushed donor technology far beyond what existed, but the unwilling donors are likely to be prisoners snatched from rival Clans.

The opportunity to ransack an abandoned hospital for supplies and equipment is too attractive to ignore and two Clans are destined to meet for a battle of will and wits that will decide the fate of one of them. The hospital however has a dark secret…

Harold Wood Hospital was once a District General hospital situated in Harold Wood in Essex. The hospital was originally opened in 1909 as a convalescent home for children; The Hospital was finally closed in 2006 and recently became one of the most challenging Urban Airsoft Experiences in the UK. This 30 acre site comprise some 10000 rooms in multi leave and single story building that you will need to battle through and around to complete your clans objectives

So then thoughts on this? I've never been to an AI organised event so would not know what it could be like, the venue looks great but again never been to it.

Would members from here be looking to attend?

Certaintly looks tempting but will keep my eyes peeled for more information.

if i remember rightly the thing about 500 is to coincide with something about AI, to be fair, most of the AI staff are a bunch of twats! Expect to have rubbish rules that wont be followed by them and also for them to try and take you for an arm and a leg on prices. I'm sorry but i would never pay £90 to do a milsim, it can cost less than that to do one of the weekenders at catterick or somewhere, its basically AI being their usual greedy selves but wont put a lot of pyro on or anything to justify the cost, to be fair i'd much rather go to one of Jamie's weekenders at senny or somewhere.

I agree with Aribos on the pricing and possible rules. However the STALKER-esk plot certainly is tempting me.

If i'm not mistaken this was being advertised in AI when i bought my last issue, last year! To be fair good on 'em if they actually run it but id think it'll be held in mainland europe as that is where their biggest market is (Most UK players only buy AI once every so often due to the spelling mistakes, lack of a good editing team, rubbish reviews and most of the articles are nicked off the net or old issues and the letters are written by their mates.)

There was a whole thread on ASCUK about why to avoid the AI team when they went to a site and broke several rules and risked the poor site being shut down before it even opened after trying to do a night game when told not to. They booked themselves into a hotel and went out to a pub rather than eat and camp with the site owners. Now I dunno bout you but that would be half of getting to know the site. There is a reason most AI staff wouldn't last long on an F&O site.

Well me and two mates have booked in for this. Will have to see how it plays, whilst it is more expensive than a FAO weekender, its the same price as the national weekender, but the goodie bag is quite impressove.

More than likely to tempt you in with offerings of gold and candy.
